Your Sketching Journey, Plan Ahead
Follow a thoughtfully crafted progression that gradually strengthens your artistic foundation. The program guides you from simple line work to assured personal expression through proven teaching approaches.
Learning Modules Breakdown
Each module builds on what you already know while introducing new ideas. You'll spend roughly three weeks on each module, allowing time for practice and skill absorption.
Foundational Lines & Basic Shapes
We begin by mastering pencil control. You’ll explore how different grips influence line quality and practice steady, uniform strokes. Basic geometric forms will serve as your building blocks.
- Managing Line Weight

How Your Progress Is Monitored
Assessment isn’t about grades – it’s about understanding where you are and where you’re heading. We use multiple methods to help you see your development and identify areas for focused practice.
Portfolio Reviews
Every four weeks, we sit down together and review your recent work. These conversations help identify patterns in your development and highlight breakthroughs you might have missed.
Practical Skill Tests
Short, focused exercises letting you demonstrate specific techniques. Think of them as friendly challenges—can you achieve smooth gradations? Draw a cube in perspective? They help us both see your technical progress.
Peer Feedback Sessions
Sometimes other students notice things instructors miss. These structured group discussions teach you to analyze artwork constructively while gaining fresh perspectives on your own work.
Self-Reflection Projects
You’ll document your artistic journey through written reflections and comparative studies. This metacognitive approach helps you become aware of your own learning process and artistic choices.
